Safety and the Environment
At Islands Petroleum we are very aware of the responsibility oil companies assume in reducing, where possible, the impact we place on the environment and communities in which we operate.
Islands Petroleum maintains its own equipment and machines to the highest standard and by keeping our fleet of vehicles, which are regularly renewed, running as efficiently as possible, we hope to minimise the potential environmental impact from their exhaust.
Up to 90% of the fuel products sold by Islands Petroleum are ADO, (Automotive Diesel Oils), which have been argued to have a lower carbon foot print comparative to unleaded petroleum product (Petrol), thus reducing our carbon emissions.
These together with many other safety and operational practices contribute to maintaining the highest possible standard of operational safety; and assist us in our efforts to prevent, to be the best of our abilities, incidences relating to the health and safety of our employees, our communities and the environment.
