- BP conducted national carrier contractor audits and awarded Islands Petroleum 'Best carrier' all three positions 1st 2nd 3rd Rabaul, Kimbe, Kavieng, each year from 2002 to 2004.
- Mobil awarded Islands Petroleum '25 years of outstanding service' for their long association in PNG.
- Lihir Gold recognised Islands Petroleum's assistance in supplying fuel to the mining operation when their fuel had run out.
